Dr. Rahimah Jurij
Researcher, Research Department
Dr Rahimah Jurij is a researcher in the Research Department of IRIS Institute and Editor of FOKUS, the institute’s current-affairs platform. Her work covers national power, human resources and organisational behaviour, with a particular interest in how talent, the workforce and demographic change shape a country’s long-term strength.
Her academic background is in human resource management, with research carried out at the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her published work includes a systematic review of why eldercare workers leave the profession, a study mapping the links between brain drain, the education system and national power, and a co-authored paper on Malaysia’s declining birth rate and the changing role of women in the workforce.
She also represents IRIS Institute at policy forums, including Khazanah Research Institute’s CREATE Symposium and the IERIF Partnership for Policy Impact Series in 2026.
