MoU Signing between IRIS Institute (Malaysia) and Ufuk-Cu (Türkiye)

On Friday, 7 November 2025, a significant milestone was achieved as the IRIS Institute (Malaysia) and Ufuk-Cu (Türkiye) formalised their initial collaboration at the IRIS Institute’s office in Bangi. The Statement of Initial Cooperation was signed by Syed Ahmad Israa’, CEO of IRIS Institute, and Mr. Orhan Akzade, representing Ufuk-Cu. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Asyraf Farique and Mr. Aiman Faudzi from IRIS Institute, symbolising a shared commitment toward deeper academic and strategic engagement.

The IRIS Institute, established in 2015, is an independent think-tank dedicated to interdisciplinary research and international strategic studies, focusing on national power, regional dynamics, and international strategic issues. Ufuk-Cu, based in Türkiye, is a dynamic organisation that promotes cross-cultural and scholarly collaboration across Eurasia, advancing intellectual dialogue and cooperation among institutions. Together, the two institutions aim to strengthen academic, cultural, and strategic ties through joint initiatives and research collaborations.

The signing marks an important beginning in the relationship between Ufuk-Cu and the IRIS Institute — a gesture of trust, shared purpose, and mutual aspiration. While this document represents an initial understanding, both institutions are deeply committed to nurturing it into a long-term and fruitful partnership. Through continued dialogue, collaborative projects, and knowledge exchange, Ufuk-Cu and the IRIS Institute look forward to building enduring bridges between Malaysia and Türkiye, grounded in intellectual excellence, cultural understanding, and a shared vision for the future.
